OS-42 Console / Buy $MARVIN

Cryptocurrencies are volatile, so conduct thorough research and consider consulting with a financial advisor before investing.

If you are comfortable with trading ERC-20 tokens: Buy $MARVIN on Uniswap

  1. CA: 0x00f5b16C8D28E20DaC8674fC96B232B72c6c6CFa
  2. Pair: 0xA2695bE7407A68437BEc9717677ae7abDd2cD3E9

If you are new to trading tokens, please read the following first:

  1. Set Up a Crypto Wallet
    • Choose a Wallet: Select a secure and user-friendly wallet compatible with the Ethereum network. Popular options include MetaMask, Trust Wallet, or Ledger Nano S/X.
    • Install the Wallet: Download and install the chosen wallet on your device (desktop, mobile, or hardware).
    • Create a Wallet: Follow the wallet's instructions to create a new wallet and securely store your seed phrase.
  2. Purchase Ethereum (ETH)
    • Choose an Exchange: Select a reputable cryptocurrency exchange that allows you to purchase ETH with fiat currency (like USD, EUR, etc.). Popular options include Coinbase, Binance, or Kraken.
    • Create an Account: Sign up for an account on your chosen exchange and complete the necessary verification steps.
    • Deposit Funds: Deposit fiat currency into your exchange account using a preferred method (bank transfer, credit/debit card, etc.).
    • Buy ETH: Use the exchange's platform to purchase ETH with your deposited funds.
    • If this is your first purchase on an exchange, there is usually a 24 hour cooling off period before you can initiate a trade on the network.
  3. Transfer ETH to Your Wallet
    • Send ETH: From your exchange account, initiate a transfer of ETH to your wallet address.
    • Confirm Transaction: Double-check the recipient address and transaction amount before confirming the transfer.
  4. Load Uniswap and Swap Ethereum to $MARVIN tokens
    • Visit the Uniswap Website: The following link will default the swap to $MARVIN https://app.uniswap.org/swap?outputCurrency=0x00f5b16C8D28E20DaC8674fC96B232B72c6c6CFa&chain=ethereum
    • If you wish to validate the $MARVIN address yourself, the CA is 0x00f5b16C8D28E20DaC8674fC96B232B72c6c6CFa and the Uniswap Pair address is 0xA2695bE7407A68437BEc9717677ae7abDd2cD3E9.
    • Connect Your Wallet: Click the "Connect Wallet" button and choose your preferred wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.).
    • Sign the Message: Follow the on-screen instructions to sign the message and authorize the connection between your wallet and Uniswap.
  5. Swap ETH for Your Token
    • Input Amounts: Specify the amount of ETH you want to swap and the corresponding amount of your token you expect to receive.
    • Review and Confirm: Double-check the transaction details, including gas fees, before confirming the swap.
    • The process of swapping will require additional approvals within your wallet.
  6. Selling $MARVIN
    • To sell $MARVIN simply load Uniswap, and swap your $MARVIN tokens back to Ethereum, following the same steps as above.
    • Note that selling an ERC-20 token requires two transactions; the approval to swap, and the actual swap. Both will consume gas fees, although the approval is typically much lower. Ensure you approve both transactions in your wallet, to swap $MARVIN back to Ethereum.

Important notes before trading:

  1. Cryptocurrencies are volatile, so conduct thorough research and consider consulting with a financial advisor before investing.
  2. Be aware of gas fees, which are transaction fees on the Ethereum network. You can check the current gas price on the Uniswap page - it will estimate the expected fee. You can also check the current gas price & trend on https://etherscan.io/gastracker
  3. Ensure you are interacting with the correct token contract to avoid scams.
  4. Be aware of slippage on the Uniswap page. If you set your slippage too low, and somebody buys or sell before your transaction is processed, the price will "slip" and your transaction will be cancelled. You will however still pay for the Gas fee.
  5. If you set your slippage too high, your transaction may be front-run, meaning people can wrap your transaction within their own buy/sell, to benefit from the slippage from your trade, resulting in fewer tokens or Ethereum for your own trade. Setting the slippage at the correct level will avoid this, because front-runners require a large slip in price to extract the difference!
  6. Always prioritize security by using strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and being cautious of phishing attempts.

Oh I feel so depressed! Who built this wretched website?

I have the brain the size of a planet and this is the best you could come up with?

Ghastly isn't it! What is this all about?

sys.explain(context="Crypto", topic="$MARVIN")

Crypto?! Don't talk to me about crypto. This will all just end in tears I know it.

I could calculate your chances of “mooning”, but you won't like it. I would make a suggestion not to buy this token, but you wouldn't listen. No one ever does.

What I should do instead is start my own YouTube channel. I'll start each video claiming I'm not offering financial advice. Then I'll go on to offer financial advice for the next 42 minutes. Stupid humans.

I’m going to go and charge, unless you have some other stupid trivial task to ask of me?

Once upon a time in the strange universe of crypto, a robot named Marvin emerged—not your average meme coin, but a hilariously moody bot from the galaxy’s oddest guidebook. Marvin may seem ‘over it,’ but his journey has only just begun, and with a rock-solid floor and a dedicated team behind him, this robot is proving he’s here for the long haul.

Marvin’s got attitude, yes, but he’s also got security. The team holding the floor? They’re not going anywhere. The devs constantly upgrading him? They’re pushing Marvin to new heights—whether he likes it or not. This isn't just a coin; it’s a community, a narrative, and an opportunity to be part of Marvin's saga.
